Our exotic atom research featured by CHIPP
In our research on muonic atoms, one of our goals is to use x-ray spectroscopy on systems with a very light nucleus (Z = 3–10) to accurately measure their nuclear charge radii. To achieve this, we employ metallic magnetic calorimeters, a promising detector technology capable of delivering world-record resolving powers for x-ray energies spanning a few keV to a few hundred keV.
